Her debut novel was titled Unsolved and is the first in a series that was about Cal Lovett, a true crime podcaster. It made the shortlist for the Bloody Scotland Debut 2023. The second book in the series continued the series and was titled Unburied. It was followed by the third book, Unsound, the fourth book Unknown, and the fifth book Unseen. Heather has also written short stories. They have been featured in crime fiction anthologies such as Afraid of the Light, Afraid of the Christmas Lights, and Afraid of the Shadows.
