Miles Burton was a published author of fiction. He has also gone by the pen names of John Rhode, Cecil Waye, and Cecil J.C. Street. He passed away December 8, 1965. He was born in the United Kingdom in Gibraltar on May 3, 1884. His full name is Cecil John Charles Street and he is an OBE. He started out his career in the military, serving as an artillery officer in the British Army. As World War I progressed, he became a propagandist for MI7, holding the rank of major. After the armistice, Miles would alternate between the cities of Dublin and London during the Irish War of Independence, working as an Information Officer for Dublin Castle and collaborating closely with Lionel Curtis.
