Mona Hanna-Attisha is a published author, a scientist, physician, and an activist. She holds the titles of MD, MPH, and FAAP. She has twice been called to testify before the United States Congress. She was awarded the Freedom of Expression Courage Award by PEN America and also has been picked by Time magazine as one of their 100 Most Influential People in the World. She has also been recognized as one of USA Today’s Women of the Century thanks to her part in uncovering the Flint water crisis and leading recovery efforts. Dr. Mona is the associate dean for public health and the C.S. Mott endowed professor of public health at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She is also a founding director of the Pediatric Public Health Initiative, a partnership of MSU and Hurley Children
