William Alan Webb is a published author. He grew up in West Tennessee, where he would take his bike along the rural roads that had wild blackberry bushes all around. These were in the days before urban sprawl had taken over. He would go on those long bike rides thinking of new worlds of adventure. For Bill, childhood was just one interesting activity after another. He loved doing all types of things, from playing football in the front yard to playing with naval miniatures. From the start, though, reading was the center pillar of his life and part of his foundation. Bill found that all types of books were good, but the ones that were the most fascinating to him were the ones that had anything to do with military history.
